Addiction Support Group – The Lighthouse

From Addiction Support Group to Life Support Group

We started our Lighthouse support meeting as an addiction support group. This was due to the opioid crisis hitting Dayton, Ohio the hardest in the country at one point. However, participants quickly told us that our format and curriculum could help anyone – and we agreed! Ever since, we have opened it up to all life challenges and getting healing – physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually.

We offer bi-weekly meetings, online, on the first, third and 5th Tuesdays at 7:00 pm EST.

Agendas

See our Facebook events page for agendas including speakers, panels, teaching, open discussion, etc. If you click Going or Interested, you’ll get an automatic reminder to attend. These meetings are also posted on our Eventbrite page.

Purpose

To be a beacon of faith, hope and love for individuals, couples, and families struggling with life, including addiction.

Format

This is a different kind of faith-based support group for life, including addiction. It’s a safe place to meet, learn, and feel connected with others in similar situations. It’s an open meeting – you do NOT have to be impacted by addiction or be a Christian to attend. Everyone is welcome!

We have music, prayer, guest speakers, videos, panels, open discussion, engaging time to practice a new concept or skill, recognition, etc.

“When I go to other meetings, I’m an ‘addict.’ When I come to Mission Addiction, I’m a person.”
